Can you drive dirtbikes on the road? |
If so where do you drive them cuz I honestly have no idea. I mean, I'm lookin at a cut-out from the store Canadian Tire of a new 49cc dirt bike on sale for $499.00 (Canadian), thats $300.00 off!!! And it would be so convenient to buy it and use it to get from A to B for very little money!!! and just by lookin at it i dont see why u cant do that. the boy in Terminator 2 did it. was that legal or not for a 12 year old to drive what i was assuming was a dirt bike in a california city in 1991? i just want to know cuz i always think back at that. but im 20 and in ontario so if someone can tell me the answers regarding my situation id really appreciate it. and im assuming id have to get an M license for that? and insurance too? is it expensive? Thanks. you can if it is street legal and you have a motorcycle license. It has to have blinkers, taillights headlights.... you also have to have insurance. It is expensive because of liability. it's illegal! if you get caught it's a big fine! you can drive on public streets but you need turning signals brake lights a head light an plates insurans would be cheap because a 49cc or 50cc bike will only go about 15-20 mph with a 180 pound man on it so i suggest you hold out on that bike you can probably finance a 250cc ninja but its still small thell do about 105mph. insurance is still cheap 25-75 dollars most of the time good luck I'm sure in Canada you can't ride the streets on an unlicensed motorcycle.
