What kinds of things?

Im babysitting my little brother this whole week and he is very difficult to keep busy. today I had to take him to the store, to the park, wlaking the dogs, for a bike ride, play cops and robbers, play tag, and help him play games on the computer. this was just way too exhausting. any ideas for tomorrow? I watch him from when I wake up till 6:30pm(or later) when my mom gets home. and he doesnt have any friends because the only ones around here are grounded for this week. BTW he's 6yo

Wow, that is a long day to have to babysit your little brother. I am curious how old you are? You are doing good things with him, playing with him and keeping him entertained. I am glad to hear you are outside doing things and not just sitting in the house watching TV and playing video games. Is there a pool near by that you could go to and swim? Otherwise, as someone else said, he is old enough to entertain himself a little too. Good job!
Give him a solo task to do. Have him build a lego house.
See if he's into playing video games or cars. Something that he can do on his own. Or even if you play with him its not that stressful. At that age they are always on the go. Also try coloring, reading, playing i spy.
Good luck!!
from years of babysitting i have found that playing board games are good, watching tv shows or movies that he enjoys, let him take toys outside where you can just watch him play, if you have a small blow up pool let him swim, let him play in the bathtub (but stay with him), plan a indoor or outdoor picnic but let him help get things ready and set up, make a obstacle course out of household items, cut and paste pictures of out of magazines of things he likes and make a collage. those are just a few ideas.
he is old enough to keep himself content without you having to fill his entire day. what you are doing is fine, teach him how to play with microsoft paint on the computer. my six year old loves it.
i set up my little brother in the tub with too much bubbles and an abundance of plastic toys.
this works well cuz i can bring whatever i want to do into the room near him and just let him get into his own world of dragons and bubbles!
Set up a playdate with a friend of his from school... The teacher may have sent home a list of parent phonenumbers Then you can talk to his friend's mom or dad while the kids play.

Does your brother usually take a nap after school? Make sure to put him down for one at the same time every day this week. If he is not tired, tell him it is one hour of "quiet time" for looking at books in his room (alone). This will give you an hour break!

Give him toys that require him to work (The more the toy does, the less the kid does, and the sooner your brother will get bored.) Legos/Duplos are good, plain paper with crayons or washable markers... ask your mom for $10 and take him to the 99 Cents store, and let him pick out his own toys.

You can also rent short TV DVDs or Videos (for free at the library, or just at Blockbuster). At his age, he may want to watch the same one every day for the whole week!
