How can I burn this sugar I eat ? |
Im on a diet - i exercise daily - but when my family has cake at home or something sweet i binge on it. and if i binge on it at like lunch time, i wouldnt eat lunch and wouldnt eat for the rest of the day. I Work out in the mornings , bike during the day , play drums for an hour at night (and i whale my drums and sweat like i been running for an hour) - and the next day, instead of working out , I do cardio (treadmil) walk 3.5 - 4.0 mph on an incline (7.0) for 45 minutes - thats wat my personal trainer told me to do. but how can I burn all this sugar i eat - i thought if im craving sugar that means i need to eat but even when i eat i still crave sugar so i end up eating food and sugar ... its not everyday but it happened this afternoon and so im not eating for the rest of the day now. or is there a specific time i should eat sugar like right before goin for a bike ride so i can burn it right away , and not store as fat ?? Giving in to sugar cravings is not the answer here. Once in a while is OK i guess, like maybe once a week or so.But more than that is not good for u specially if u are fighting to lose weight or maintaining it. If u binge on sweets, it'll increase your craving further, its a vicious cycle. The more sugar u eat, the more u crave till u feel sick or gain weight or both! Your body increases its production of insulin to deal with all that extra sugar. You can become insulin resistant too or this can lead to diabetes in the long term when the body cant cope any further. Its best not to eat a lot of sugar, specially artificial sugar found in bakery goods. If u crave sweets have a low sugar or no sugar alternative at hand so that u dont cave in. Granola bar with low carb content is a good & crunchy alternative. There is a variety available, choose one with the least sugar or if possible no sugar, only natural. Have fruits with yoghurt , its a good dessert and healthy too. DOnt have any white flour, white bread, white rice etc. Have whole grains, brown rice and veggies. Limit ur caffeine intake as that increases insulin too. Avoid alcohol and soft drinks as they have lots of sugar. Stick to diet drinks and water. Its good to exercise but dont overdo it.Take ur doc's advice. Try and resist. When I'm in those situations, I usually give myself a protein shake...this takes care of the sweet craving and is healthy for you too. Snack on protein and don't skip meals Hoodia does a good job on curbing cravings for sweets. You could try taking it when you know there will be sweets in the house. Hoodia Gordonii is an all natural appetite suppressant with no side effects. It is derived from a South African cactus that the bushmen have eaten there for thousands of years. The people it works for swear by it. An appetite suppressant that is all natural with no side effects is good stuff! Watch out though, the marketplace is flooded with fakes. But there are Hoodia Brands that DO sell products that contain real authentic Hoodia Gordonii in them and really DO work. There are many factors involved in finding the best Hoodia, I have written articles on a lot of them. Just search Yahoo or Google under my name 鈥淎ndrew Aitaken鈥?to find them. Also some of the best tips I have found are in Totalink鈥檚 Hoodia Buyers Guide at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/buy_h... The best Hoodia Plant answers I鈥檝e found are in the topics section at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/hoodi... |
