Are dirt bikes on ebay or internet any good? |
are dirt bikes on EBAY or the internet any good or should I buy them from a store? Yo Rat--- go to the store--and ride what your getting...You do not buy shoes--autos --- motor cycles on ebay... Some are and some suck. Buy a name brand bike, not a made in China POS. E-bay has recourse if you get ripped off. I bought a truck from e-bay and I love it. 1971 Chevy short bed prb better to buy from the store.then you can see it in person and not have to pay all that high shipping cost.unless you find one pick up only in your area. Buy it from a reputable dealer. Never buy sight unseen on ebay or the internet, especially a large ticket item. This is a really good question.....If your buying "new", buy from the store. But, when your buying used your always taking a chance even if it is from a dealer, Because a dealer will just "band aid" up to make it run good for a little while and even some private sellers do this too. There is some key things to always look for..... (first) look for multi-detailed pictures of the bike(all angles) (second) look for lots of desription about the history of the bike. (third) always contact the seller and ask questions (email or phone number). If the seller starts becoming aggravated about your questions walk away the bike is junk and the seller is just trying to unload it on someone elese. (fourth) always remember used dirt bikes are not going to be perfect, they will get scratches and cracks on the plastic, dents in the exhaust. (fifth) If a bike comes with extra parts and riding gear(even if it does not fit you) you can sell it to your buddies. this is always a good deal. (sixth) always try to find a bike thats for sale in your state,so you don't have to drive very far or if you have a friend in the same state where a bike is for sale ask them to go and look at it for you. So, it's always a chance your taking when your buying used from a dealer or the internet. Good Luck P.S. But it's your choice. |
