Body Workout help.? |
I am currently 16 and i have little upper body muscle and a small keg for a stomach (:-p), and allright leg muscle. My question is how can i get upper body muscle up quickly in 8 weeks to do 50 pushups, and how to get something close to a sixpack (if not one :-D) to do 100 sit ups for my school Soccer tryouts, coach said that we need to do them or we will have no play time in game or will not make team. I live in a small town so i dont have a gym, i do have a GNC in my mall(think thats the name of the nutrition store[(:-\]). I have started to go a mile a day on my bike and that sorta helps my leg muscles but not my stomach or arms, so I REALLY need tips please! and give me some great workout routines please. (ps. i dont have any weight sets, tredmills or anything at my house)(pss[:-p] also wanna look good for summer!!) well, first off, your coach is an idiot, he should base who plays on talent and ability, not how many sit-ups and push-ups you can do. my friend was one of the best soccer players in america while in college, but i could run circles around him and i am way more athletic then him, but i can not play soccer worth the darn. to answer, you have to hit the pushups hard, do 5 sets, start with what you can do (15?) and do that till failure each time. then each week increase your amount (i.e. 15, 18, 22) so in effect for example, do 5 sets of 15, if you can't get to 15 on your sets, then do it til failure, and on your last set you should keep doing it till failure. do more then sit-ups, do leg lifts, flutter kicks. and run! you should be doing push ups/ sit ups one day, and running the next, take a day off every 7 days. after you do your workout, drink gold standard whey protien then 15 mintues later indulge on a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich. do different push ups, arms different spacing, legs on a chair, on your knees, all different sorts. good luck! Source(s): experience Well I always got my workout from swimming. And hello it's a total summer ingredient. I do freestyle because that's the one that people said works you out more. But since you live in a small town without a gym you could just stay home and do some stretches. So try jogging around the town. hmmmmmmm, I like to do crunches, those are fun! You could cycle. Eat lots of protein, like fish. Without a gym, your going to have a hard time to really build mucle, so you'll have a hard time getting buff if that's what you want, but you'll definatley have to go for a run every day, work your way up to 5 miles (Since this is soccer, this part is very important). Do alot of pushups/sit-ups straight, don't take a break in between. Also mix in some pullups on a banister or something in your house while your working. If you're willing to spend the money, buy a protien shake mix, and drink it right after working out, it'll help alot. Also buy dumbells if you can afford them to do curls and what not. But what'd help most is getting to a gym, so try and find one (At school maybe?) read tips on gaining muscle mass, workouts and dietary needs on this site this will help you-free useful tips & articles on almost any topic- http://tune.in/li |
