Is there any way I can get this job; working at Value World (resale shop)-not hiring and won't answer phone |
As boring as it might sound to most people, I would really like to get a job at our local Value World store. For those who don't know, its basically a Salvation Army. I've been going to this store since I was probably 5 years old and it is the one place where I would really like to work, for the following reasons: If I'm asked where something is, I'll actually KNOW, unlike working at k-mart or wal-mart all that I would possibly do all day is hang up clothes, tag clothes, push hanger racks, clean, and move clothes and furniture; I know what I am getting myself into. It is close enough to my house that I could ride my bike there; I do not have to give anyone gas money until it starts to snow outside (sorry, but I wont go into "work" with salt covered, soaking wet clothes) etc (*contd) The best thing to do is go to the store and ask to speak to the manager. If he has no openings, tell him you would like to fill out an application and leave it for him.
