I'm mad as heck, and I'm not gonna take it anymore! (Beer related question.)? |
I go the the local grocery store. The sign hanging above the cooler case says COLD BEER. I check the beer and it's pi$$ warm! I pull out half a dozen cases to get to the back, and that stuff is pi$$ warm also! And this happens all the time! I could ride to the local booze-ateria, but by the time I get the brew home, it's warm too. And shook all the heck up by the ride on the back of the bike so that I can't open one right away. Yeah, I know. Warm beer is better than no beer at all, but it's 90+ damn degrees here in Florida, and I think I should be able to get cold beer in the freakin' US of A. At the very least I think it's false advertising. I gotta stuff the freezer with the beer, and wait about an hour (Two warm beers worth.) before the stuff is a decent temperature. Anybody know of a way to instantly freeze a beer with something? (And no, I don't mean make beercicle out of it, just about 35 degrees would be nice.) And it can't be anything that will cost a fortune. Thanx. get a bucket of ice cubes an spin the beer in it for 2 minutes. just spin with your hand or buy a cooler an load it with ice for the ride home just wait. one hour is not going to kill you. drink water. i live in FL too. well this might be a pain in the ***....but when u know ur goin, bring a bag or a mini cooler, put some ice in it and then put the beer in there....i mean it would suck to do it everytime but thats the only thing i can think of...good luck and im sorry abou that...if ur in ct come get a cold one on me ha So your on a bicycle> you got money to buy beer How about the right equipment for the bike?? I have a rear rack and a voyager thermal bag holds a six-pack with several blue-ice packs find your choice here then shop the local bike shop save some $$$ http://www.rei.com ever thought to just keep a few beers in the fridge at home? saves going to the store and giving yourself a heart attack from the stress of a warm beer |
