What's up with the H-D's and Metrics?

Why do you guys talk crap about each others bikes/groups???

Where does it takes you???

Do you really gain anything by doing this???

It's funny to see a HARLEY DAVISON lovers ride a JAPANESE car and METRIC lover ride a AMERICAN car. I have seen this many times!!! Don't believe me??? then check it out for your selves at your local store/neighborhood!!!

It's funny how you put at high the brand name you like but have you ever thought about what they think of you???

Do they do anything for you???

If machine breaks they really give a crap about it right???

Please don't respond with the typical childish tantrum answers, my intention is not to create more conflicts...

Think deeply and let me know what you think.

Ride safe!

This is not a problem I find myself facing everyday. For those people that are too stuck on their own product, they need to take a look at what riding really is. It is not about what you are riding, or the guy next to you is riding. It is about the fact that you are both riding. Both American and Asian bikes have parts being manufactured or processed in both areas so it is really not about that anyway. I have ridden Asian and American bikes, both are nice and I wave to anyone who waves back.
I'm with Tackle T......
all i know is HD uses some metric fasteners and my victory which has more american content the a HD uses mainly metric fasteners...go figure.
it's all about messing with each other, tho some tend to take it to far. those are the ones with low self esteem............
Sorry dude....can't think too deep right now. I'm going out for a ride and not worried about what everyone else is riding or driving.....as long as they stay the hell outta my way!

To quote Firecracker "Live Free or Die"!
Thank you Rune.
There is really no need to think deeply. There are a few buttheads, who probably don't even ride, that like to stir **** by making anti Harley statements in the form of questions.
Part of the alure of motorcycles is the feeling that you're a rebel, an outsider that doesn't conform to the mold (at least in the U.S.). It's also very much a hobby, and a specialty hobby - you tend to hang around groups of people that have the exact same interest as you. If you ride Harleys, you want to go to Harley bars, sip cappucino and talk about your IRA or how your dental practice is picking up. If you ride vintage metric bikes, you'll want to go to juke joints and talk about the cheapest price for oil (since your bike's leaking) and hair grease. If crotch rockets are your thing, you'll hang out in McDonalds parking lots and discuss the minimum age of consent. Most people choose a bike style based on the lifestle associated with it, and part of the fun of it is ragging on the other groups. I personally have an assortment of bikes for different purposes. I ride my '82 Honda 750 LTD every day, since it's the most comfortable bike I've ever been on. If I'm going to a Harley-type place, I ride my Vincent, and NOBODY gives me crap. If I'm going to be around crotch rocket types, I take my truck.
Very much agree!
These companies would care less if you like their product or not ones its out the door. Something goes wrong then you are on your own (and good luck with the warranty, they always try to bleim you for that problem).

I my self wave at any rider no matter what they are riding!

Different people have different taste!

And I do know what companies think about people like this... they laugh at these immature people!!! My good friend works at H-D and he always tells me stories about people even buying socks and weird things just because they have the H-D logo. He says they all laugh at them ones they walk out the door (they really can't laugh in your face because its a business thing, you don't buy and they woun't eat). Can't really make the same coment about the metric stores but I'm sure they are all the same.

About people driving the oposite brand I agree. The manager at my local Kawa dealer drives a bad @ss mustang cobra and rides a vulcan 2000 custom!
