Do you feel pain? |
Since the dawn of man we where taught to learn from are painful mistakes physical or emotional. When we bump or head or some one dies. Scientific theories seem to think that the pain is stored as reaction. It can come back as psychosis which can make you ill mentally or physical. As an example if I where to think of the time I fell of my bike and broke my arm I could not feel the pain. But if I was re-stimulated as an example when I entered unconsciousness I smelt tar from the street. When the paramedics came I heard "its going to be all right "and sirens. The feel of leather, the vibrations of the paramedics going over the road. It鈥檚 said in theory if I where to be in the presence of any of these restimulant and or in unconscious state. Provided by drugs or alcohol can actually trigger these painful emotions and physical pain. Has this ever happened to you? If so tell me I would like to hear. its what you call association. it happens to everyone at one point or another. big or small incidents. that's how we learn to do or not to do again. Nope never. Well maybe when I hear a certain song but that's something else... Normally I do not feel physical pain, only emotional. Unless its an extreme situation, THEN i feel physical pain yeah, after my eye surgery,if i didnt have it i could be blind today. i remeber everyone strapping me in this bed and people putting masks on me and the smell of plastic, you know the doctor smell, then i was knocked out, when i woke up,evryone came after me and i couldnt see anything.i thought i would be but after a few hours i could open my eyes If I hit my head on anything, even gently, I instantly have flash backs of my brain surgery and all the problems that went along with that. I also stop eating for the next 24-48 hours because all I taste is blood in my mouth. It's amazing to hear about the different thresholds of pain and how they can vary from person to person and even by areas of the world. I once read about how in the middle ages, many people who went to the physican to cure an ailment would be able to tolerate inflicted pains that would probably make us black out today. In third-world countries, people who have their teeth pulled don't need nearly as much novicane as we do. But I believe that pain serves as a reminder. It is stored information which we use subconciously. Without pain, we would not know what it is like to experience relief. Just as without hot we wouldn't know cold or without some type of sadness in our life we wouldn't know happiness, without pain we wouldn't know what it's like to be comfortable. Pain is one of the many things that serves as a basis of how we gauge how we feel. |
