What store in los angeles has a huge bicycle selection? |
i want to look at a bunch of really nice bikes in person, trek, specialized, giant, and others. not interested in "wal-mart brands" help me! well, if you want a big selection and don't care about cost, check out Helen's in Santa Monica or Venice, but they can be expensive Performance (Santa Monica, Ventura, etc.) has a lot, but their service is not that great Cynergy in Santa Monica is great Wheel World (Culver City, Woodland Hills, etc.) is OK, but not as big of a selection Source(s): http://www.specialized.com A few rolls of quarters WheelWorld (???) Sepulveda & Washington I agree with you, Kmart or Walmart "toy" bicycles don't perform as good as "real" bicycles nor do they sport the most durable parts. Personally, I quit getting my bikes from places as those mentioned before and went to one very good professional bike shop in Van Nuys Blvd, Van Nuys, S. Fernando Valley, L.A. . Of course, there are plenty of other places as this one, but don't expect to see some fancy department store-like displays as most of these are just plainly bike shops, existing for one single reasons--sell good quality bicycles. It is there that you will find great selection of mountain, road, bmx, and comfort bikes unlike some very limited and low quality bikes sold in walmarts and toysrus's. By the way, a good bike will cost you above $200, so be prepared to spend some green prior to spending some fun outdoors on a good bicycle. i'm not sure about LA but if you go to danscomp.com they have a good bike salction. and they deliver in 2 -3 day. |
