Should these two people be rewarded equally? |
Should these two be rewarded equally for their hard work? Jamie: She is a young woman who works for a public relations company and she makes very good money at her job and the rewards she has is owning a condo overlooking the ocean on the coast of California, she owns a 2007 Toyota 4Runner Limited V8, she owns lots of nice clothes to wear, gets to go on nice vacations, goes to plenty of rock concerts and owns lots of stereo/furniture equipment. Nick: He is a young man who works at a department store called Shopko and the only rewards he gets is working little hours and, a roof over his head at his parents's duplex and a cheap bicycle to get to and from work, plus his boss is an egotistical jerk who treats Nick like crap and is refusing to give him the hours he deserves and Nick only makes $8.15 an hour, plus Nick's boss fired an elderly woman cause she couldn't perform the duties that he wanted her to, plus Nick hates his job and his parents don't want Nick to quit his job The financial rewards we get in life are based on certain unbreakable principles: The demand for what we do; Our ability to do what we do, and The difficulty in replacing us. If there is a low demand for what I do, I don't do it exceptionally well and it's quite easy to replace me, my pay will be low. If however there is a high demand for what you do, you are outstanding at what you do and you are very difficult to replace, you will be able to name your price. Whether their name is Nick, Jamie, Bob or Santa is irrelevant. We all work under the same universal law. To increase our rewards in life we need only increase the value and the quality of the service we provide. And finally, a learning disability is not a badge or an identity or a status. It's just a fact, and we all have the ability to make our own decisions. I sincerely trust this is helpful to Jamie, and perhaps this will help him re-evaluate his position in life. Warmly, Slav And if you want more information on this topic, visit ArkleySolutions dot com where you can download some great resources without cost. No. Nick needs to work harder to proof his capability. Rewards in life are also related to responsibilty. could nick even begin to do jamie's job? you admit he has a learning disabilty. and finally life is not fair, get over it also if Nick found this job all on his own he settled for a crap deal. why doesn't he convince his old friend Jamie he could be useful to her enterprises and get a better job. |
