A "friend" gave away my stuff should i be mad? |
i had 3 bicycles left at his house because i moved out of state. I didn鈥檛 even leave them there. My stuff was all packed in my bosses鈥?trailer and on the way out of state my boss decided to buy a car and left my stuff at this person鈥檚 house. One of the bikes was a $250 bike. The bikes were only left back in Sept. and i was never told that i need to get them or they are just going to give them away. Am I the jerk for being mad? Should I try and get money for this stuff? I now live in such a small town I cant just go down to the store and replace this stuff I owned. The communication lines run both ways here - your stuff, your responsibility to keep track of - ANYTIME you LEAVE things behind ASSUMING everything is cool, most likely things are NOT cool. Assuming is not at all smart if you ever intend to get anything back. The person you should be mad at is YOU - be responsible for yourself and your things - THEN you can get mad if anyone messes with it. yea cosult a lawyer bout it and see what he says I would call the police and see if there is anything you can do. They will probably tell you to take it to civil court. I just wonder if you could file a police report for theft and sale of stolen goods. well whats your friends side of the story thats the only way i could help you make a fair decision just dont worry about it just say "man you owe me big time" but not in a harsh way more in a buddy buddy way did u tell em 2 save it 4 u, or did u just leave it ther. if u didn't tell em 2 save it, then u cant blame him 4 sellin em. if he gave em away when he was supoosed 2 watch em 4 u, then that was a pretty dumb thing 2 do. dont b mad its just a bike, n maybe he thiught u ket em keep it since ur moving Hellooooo! Do you think your friends' house is a miniwarehouse? It's your stuff, you should be responsible for them. To leave them and assume he would take care of it is wrong. but, he could at least give you a chance to get them, if he didn't. Sounds like your boss was responsible for the bikes..he woes you for them..you have a right to be mad but then again LEARN not to trust people and then you won't get taken again........ |
