How do I shop for a bicycle for a woman over 60, out of shape and only 5'2"? |
Most 26" bikes are too tall for me to straddle, even ones built for women and I'm afraid I'll fall over when I stop. Do they make bikes for women that are smaller? Thanks Its unlikely you'll find a department store bike that will fit. Most quality bike shops carry a variety of frame sizes, and can order even more. Yes, someone your size can get a bike that fits, although you'll pay more than Walmart prices. Take her to a PRO bike shop. She may need a three wheel. you should take her to the store and sow her the trailer bikes for boys =they might be more suitable for her=they aren't too high off the ground If she wants it mostly for exercising; why not get a stationary one for her home. She doesn't have to worry about falling and getting hurt. It sits in one place all the time and she can peddle all she wants. |
