What are some of your memories of Japan?

I lived there for a year and taught English. I'd love to go back!

I remember shopping for groceries every few days to a week. I actually did it with just my bicycle, since we (my husband and I) didn't have a car. I had to balance the full plastic bags on the handle bars and walk the bike home. At the store there was a parking lot out back just for bikes.

Another time we went to the cherry blossom viewing at our local park. We took some beer and snacks and had a lovely picnic on a sunny day sitting under the beautiful cherry blossoms and gazing up the sky.

My best memory of Japan is waking up in the police station after a night of drinking.
I had passed out on the street and a police man took me to the station so I could sleep off my hangover.
He also gave me money for the train to get home. (i used all mine for drinking)
My memories of Japan is that the Japanese Government are not honest, for they haven't admit their faults in the second World War.
NONE - HAVE NEVER BEEN BUT WANT TO
i want to go there. i have a friend there. i know theres stuff like what u describe from books and movies set there
I took a trip to Nagasaki. I went to the A bomb museum at ground zero. They have a 30 foot monolith at the middle of ground zero. Did you know that the bomb was dropped on top of a church. The corner of the church including statues is still standing. After that I went to the peace park. They have a huge statue that is there. The statue is holding one hand up and one hand out to the side. The hand pointing up is to honor the people who died in the blast. The hand going out to the side is to represent peace to all lands. They also have a flame burning there that has been allowed to go out all of these years. I also went to the observatory and got beautiful panoramic pictures of Japan and some of the surrounding islands.
