Ok I'm paying off an elctric bike which costs $450 Australian and I need it to go to work it can travel up to 30 km no worries and you can buy as many battery packs as you want. It's really good because it'll get me around town since I don't have a car and I do all my shopping with a taxi anyway. Basically what I need to find out and I know it'll tell me in the instructions but I can't wait is basically will it be alright in the rain. The motor should be fine.
The batteries should be fine, might get a little corroded.
But the controller as well as the throttle mechanism will not like the rain at all. If you get the controller out of the rain and the throttle grip is cleaned and lubed you can try placing a bag over it and you should be OK. Maintain it, and spray it down with electric motor cleaner and re grease it nighlty to keep it water resistant. |
