Does anybody know how much a 1970 Raleigh Grand Prix is worth? |
My Dad's gonna take it to a bike shop to get it fixed up, but it's in pretty good condition already, it just hasn't been ridden since the early 80's. I was just wondering if this bike is really still any good, or if it's worth anything I agree with Shades... the Grand Prix is probably the most popular road bike that Raleigh ever made, and it was in line with Schwinn Varsity and some other European and Japanese bikes. It is definitely worth getting completely overhauled for your own use, but it would be difficult to find a buyer that would pay you more than $150 in perfect shape. On the other hand, it is impossible to find a bike of that quality for $150 brand new. Source(s): 27 years in the industry i think its worth about 5,000 -20,000 just a quess cause i saw one at bike world here in san antonio texas $100 if you are lucky. If it is in pristine condition and all original maybe $150. It is not a collectors piece. Niiiiice!!! Old Raleighs are sweet ride: Check out the link below http://sheldonbrown.com/retroraleighs/gr... This should give you an idea of how much your bike is worth. if you can get it to pristine and you want to sell it, you may get upwards to $1000. |
