I have a 1983 cb 750 honda the throttle cable broke....????? |
i need to know what tools i need to remove and replace the cable its kind of important i get the correct tools i have to take the city bus to the bike shop and then back to the bike. it broke down just tonight ,,,sooooo help please 3/8" drive ratchet 6" extension 12mm socket To remove the seat and fuel tank. Needle nose pliars To remove the fuel line from the tank. Two 10mm wrenches To remove the cables from the carburetors. #2 phillips head screw driver To open the handle bar switch/throttle housing. A 10 MM wrench and a phillips screwdriver. Just go to PEP BOYS and buy a small tool kit for $20-$30. It should be easy once you get the old one off. Just make sure you don't mess with adjustments for the carbs. Have fun and ride safe. i just ride. You need some needle nose pliers, metric open end renches plus rachet tools, also some patience doing the job. From ronald |
