I have a 1980 gas tank that has rust in it and i just got the carbs redone. I was wondering weather i should go with the solution kreem or get it cleaned at a bike shop.
DIY with a kit from KBS Coatings for a solid repair job. Choose gallon size right for you... follow the 3 steps for awesome results. Their Gold Standard Tank sealer actually seeps into the metal pores of the tank & interlocks with it as it cures. Dries rock hard & permanent but still remains flexible....so it still can bend & contract with the tank! Kreem, i believe, just sits on the metal surface and can become loose & break away over time.

http://www.kbs-coatings.com/index.aspx... Never, never, never use Kreem. I could type Kreem horror stories for hours Yamaha makes a very good 2 part rust remover that won't hurt your paint. I've used it and I highly recommend it.
