How do I build my own motorcycle? |
Would like to open a bike shop some day start with rebuilding stock bikes. Nest step is modifying bikes with bolt-on stuff. After that you learn to start modifying parts and making your own. Take a welding class at a local junior or community college. Build yourself an adjustable frame jig. buy some old water pipe and weld up a dirt bike frame. Install a motor into your home built dirt bike frame and go ride progressively harder and harder on some motocross course. If your frame holds together and the motor you built holds up you might be able to sell the bike. Selling this first trial bike will give you some money to buy some real, high carbon steel tube and the confidence that your frames won't bust and you won't get sued.
