2005 Yamaha R1, Replace or clean fuel injectors??? |
My bike was in the shop and i was told one of my injectors is running lean, therefore, making the other injectors work harder. Should i replace the injectors, or just have them all cleaned?? I JUST BECAUSE ONE IS RUNNING LEAN DOESN'T MEAN THAT THEY ARE BAD OR NEED CLEANING . STOP AND THINK WHAT CONTROLS THE INJECTION SYSTEM? A COMPUTOR? WITH SENSORS CORRECT. THEN LETS CHECK THE SENSORS FIRST AND RUN A DIAGINOSTICS ON THE COMPUTOR . O2 SENSOR COULD BE THE PROBLEM .. cleanem up atleast its running that new just get them cleaned HAVE THEM CLEANED BECAUSE THEY ARE ONLY 2 YEARS OLD. "923" you can have them rebuilt cheaper than new ones.but first before you do any thing else,go to the auto parts store and get a injector cleaner called sea foam,its the best cleaner i ever seen.3 or 4 bucks a can it will tell you how much per gallon just try it you may not need new ones.good luck. |
