I have a charging problem with a suzuki intruder 1500 motorcycle?

have to charge the battery on this bike every two or three days. new battery and shop tells me the charging system is ok. is there an easy solution, coz Im fed up of the inconvenience. what should I be checking, and how, and can the charging system be upgraded

I had a very similar problem on my Suzuki marauder. Is the battery self containing? i.e. is it sealed? if not then it may be that it needs topping up with DISTILLED WATER (unscrew all those little black caps on the top and make sure all the water levels on the side are at the top and level). another thing that i found was that the batteries on Suzuki's' don't charge very well if you leave them on the bike when charging them.......try unscrewing the connectors and completely removing the battery, than charge it away from the bike. immediately after take it out for a good spin, I'd say about 10 miles or more. hope this works for you.
charge it for a day or two and you'll be fine.
sounds like a short in the system could be the ignition bad ,alt could have a bad diode in it ,and causes the battery to drain.is it after 3 days of riding or sitting .if its after riding id have someone else check the charging .also check the battery water level .even thou its new it might be low.
Its Simple: just sale it.
