Motorcycle fuel injector cleaner??

I have a 2005 Yamaha R1. The bike has 23,000 miles on it. I recently took it to a shop for a valve adjustment and was told i need to have the fuel injectors cleaned because injector #3 was running lean (he came to this conclusion by looking at the temperture of each?). Problem is, this alone is gonna be an extra $275. Should i have this problem when the bike is so new? Would anyone reccomend to use the fuel injector cleaner first, if so, where do i get it and what kind should i use? Any other suggestions?

Use either Chevron Techron or Valvoline Synpower injector cleaner. Use 1/2 the bottle on one tank, the other half on another tank.

I have never tried Lucas injector cleaner, but I have heard it works well.
My Uncle is a HUGE Gold Wing enthusiast, and those guys always swear by Marvel Mystery oil in the gas to fix funky fuel problems.
