Best Place To Move?

I plan on moving in the next year, and need to decide where. The states I am considering are: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Colorado, or any place in Calif. not too close to Los Angeles that is where I am moving from. The things that are important to me, in the order of importance are:

1) Safe Area
2) Available Jobs - I am currently a Operations Supervisor at a California based ad agency, but would be open to changing to another field.
3) Affordable housing in good neighborhoods
4) Clean Air
5) Weather - I don't mind rain, or a 'little' snow, but would like to avoid places that are too hot.
6) Low commutes if possible, sitting in traffic all day is not the way I want to live my life.
7) I do not care that much about nightlife, since I am a bit of a homebody, but I would like to have a decent place to bike and take a walk or hike. Also, some place big enough to have a decent place to shop. I don't want to have to drive 2 hours to buy a video game or a book.

Thank you for any advice.

I would recommend the Seattle area. I really loved it there. There are a lot of really great neighborhoods, and the cost of living is lower than in the L.A. area. Not sure about job market for advertising becuase it is not my area. The weather is great all year. Usually not too cold and not too hot. It can rain a lot in the winter, and the winter days are a bit on the short side, but it doesn't last too long, and the rest of the year is beautiful. The summer time there is the best I have seen in the US. Commuting......it isn't the best but definitly not the worst. I've also lived in Chicago and Houston and it was not as bad as either of those two cities. The bus services used to be really great there, I'm sure it still is. Lots of parks with bike and walking paths. I lived in Tukwila there. I worked in downtown Seattle, and my husband worked in Tacoma. It was a very central location with all the necessary shopping and easy access to the interstates.
livermore califonia. it follows all yur standards. its a nice place in the bay area
I recommend San Diego. The weather is perfect all the time, close to the beach, tons of available jobs, housing is affordable depending on where you move. Commute can sometimes be a little crazy. There are also a lot of out door activities you ca do and if you feel like partying, The Gaslamp Quarter in Down town San Diego can provide that for you.
Boulder Colorado is an amazing place with plenty of outdoor activities such as snowboarding, hiking and fishing. The mountains are great and it is very clean. It is said to have the most sunny days in the united states.

There is an awesome night life but if it isn't for you then there are so many alternatives you don't have to worry.
