How to convince him to move to another home??? |
Okay my bf and i have been together a little over 6 yrs we have a 3 yr old son together.Currently we live in a town house its a 3 bed room 2 .5 bathroom home it was perfect when we first moved in before we had my son but now we a running out of space.I am an accountant and my bf owns a business. He inherited it from his uncle its an auto body shop.So money wise we do okay its just New Jersey taxes are hitting us hard. The third bedroom is an office for when i work from home or some my bf's work.Family room/dinning room/ kitchen are really all one open space. It has my sons toys all over the place since their is little storage for them.We also have a treadmill and speed bike in addition to the standard things in the same area.Plus 3 dogs and a cat we got from his sister!Last time i brought it up he wanted to wait and save more money? Get rid of some of the toys and junk you don't need. Then rearrange and save money. I'm sure you will nag and whine and withhold sex until you get what you want. Saving money is a great idea. Maybe you two should sit down and plan out a way to save money as well as how much you want to save. This way you both know that you are working on the future together and you know exactly where you are going. Also check out storage ideas for things like toys and excersize equipment, there are TONS of ideas out there to hide that stuff pretty well. Good luck sounds like he is a level-headed guy.....3 of you living in a 3 bedroom house with 2.5 bathrooms is perfect; I suggest clean sweeping and getting rid of the clutter; organize .....trust me when I say a bigger house just means more stuff it will become too small too GO to LOWELS or home depot go get ideas on storage space ideas. Shop around a little bit, find something you like that is within your price range and then show it to your bf. He will probably say he's not interested, which will give you some indication as to why. Keep in mind that moving itself can be expensive, so it may not just be the cost of the new home, but couple that with moving expenses and other expenses as well. Listen to his point of view and logically (not emotionally) reason with him, and I'm sure you two will come up with a solution. something gotta give.. good luck.. |
