My gn250 has wierd thing in the oil window. i had it serviced recently and they changed the oil which now look |
nice and clear and lovely and its got enough in there and everything but i noticed when i was checking the little oil check window to make sure there was enough oil that there is this almost cloudy film on the window. on the inside. and i can see a little cloudy stuff floating in the oil. kinda like juice that collects at bottom of your juice container. i rang the shop and they said its probably nothing to worry about but if i bring it in theyll have a look. But its easier for me to just ask on here. What is this wierd stuff in my bike? Oil, when it's agitated in your engine can create foam. It's nothing to worry about, and after your bike has sat for a while it will settle out. The white looking foam is caused by water that condensates inside the motor and will evaporate after you have driven it for a while. As bob says, its probably condensation. you need to ride far enough for long enough to evaporate it out. the engine should be way too hot to touch any part of it after a ride There's a little bit of water in there. |
