Birthday present ideas for a new rider?? |
My bf is turning 21 in July. He recently bought a new gsxr 750, and its his first bike. I'm trying to find some birthday presents for him...maybe just a few little things. I'd like to spend about $50-$100 more on him. I don't exactly want to buy him any apparel, as this might turn him into a "squid" (i don't know?) Hes a good rider, as far as I can see from my car, so I wouldn't want to ruin the image there. lol I would even get him an exhaust tip or something like that (?), if I got enough recommendations for it + an OK from a friend or two of his. His buddy owns a shop so I could double check with him on everything. ANY ideas would be helpful. I only have a month left! Like I said, I only want to spend up to $100 more on him (total)... And don't worry, I'm not over-doing it. I've been w/ him for 3 years and he spoils me 10x's as much! lol Thanks =) Hey Tiff, you're a pretty nice girlfriend to be so thoughtful....lucky guy! Geez, there's just so many ways to go here, it's difficult for someone like me that doesn't know him to try and come up with a good suggestion. I like your idea of checking with one of his buddy's...you know how guys all share our wants and desires with each of our close friends so, that could lead to something he "really" wants or needs for his bike. A word of caution though, just as much as guys share things between them, the "buddy", perhaps giving you a gift idea that you like, just might "spill the beans" to your b/f before the birthday...know what I mean? So, he needs to be sworn to secrecy if you want it to be a surprise. That Suzuki GSXR 750 is a pretty "hot" bike and there are some nifty accessories you could consider. Here's a couple of ideas: A Hugger...$145.00 http://www.autoall.com/gsxr-hugger-750.h... A Cover...$119.95 http://www.suzukicycles.com/accessories/... Riding Gear...Jackets/Gloves http://www.suzukicycles.com/accessories/... And check this out...Suziki GSXR750 Gifts and Accessories: http://www.suzukicycles.com/accessories/... Good luck! Buy him a gift certificate for a motorcycle shop, that way he can choose what he really wants for his bike. A 750cc bike, and a new rider..... Upgrade his medical insurance. <g> Regards, Gaucho Ask the bf what he wants for his bike or to go along with his bike and choose one...then talk to the dealer..if it's a bike part to customize his ride, then the dealer will help you select the right part...or you can buy something that goes with the brand of bike...my honey rides a Harley so buying his gifts are easy--he has a whole collection of Harley memorabilia, including a bird house! :)) Silly to me but he loves it like he loves his Harley's... get him the registration for MSF course and a rider's jacket he'll be more than happy with it joeyspiky@yahoo.com-(superbike importer in delhi, INDIA) Wow I need a girl like you, as I am sure a few others on here would agree too. Check out the custom shops and get some polished parts. Maybe a gift certificate for him to a local add on shop, or a nice set of LED lights. |
