Classic Honda CB Shopping?

I use to ride a Harley Sportster, but sold it years ago. I want another bike, but want a classic Honda CB750.
My main question is, would I be better buying a single overhead cam model or Double overhead cam model?
I do plan on riding it, and want less problems. I know the bikes are old, I just want one for short rides, and a classic bike from my younger days!
Or would I be better off with the newer double overhead cam Honda 900cb?

BETTER OFF WITH THE DOUBLE CAM MODEL,VERY GOOD FOR AN OLDER BIKE,I HAVE OWNED TWO OF THEM.YOU SHOULD TRY TO FIND A CLEAN CB900F OR CB1100F THESE BIKES WERE GREAT RIDING! Source(s): I HAVE RIDDEN ALL THE BIKES I MENTIONED,MANY TIMES,THE 900F BEING MY FAVORITE OF ALL OF THEM
Won't make any difference. The CB750 was one of the most rock solid engines ever made. But the best ones were the ones from the early 70's, single cam. The carbs were the only finicky part to those but that was never a big issue.
I still even have an engine in my garage. Good luck!
Both single and double cam engines are good but the CB900F are a very good bike with better handling and brakes than the single cam CB750
