31 weeks pregnant, cramping feeling. This is in my lower abdomon. Mainly on one side? |
I first felt this pain 2 days ago, I was walking around shopping. It went away as I would lie down but would return when I would get up to walk. It then went away for a day and now I was on my excersize bike and it has returned. Just on my lower left side. It feels like a stabbing feeling. Hurts to cough, breathe really deep, and get up or down, just moving hurts. What is this, Is it just normal stretching, and what can I do to help. I don't have temp, chills, nausa, I feel fine, it just hurts. HELP Have you noticed the muscles in your uterus tightening now and then? Many women feel these random contractions 鈥?called Braxton Hicks contractions 鈥?in the second half of pregnancy. Often lasting about 30 seconds, they're irregular, and at this point, they should be infrequent and painless. Frequent contractions, on the other hand 鈥?even those that don't hurt 鈥?may be a sign of preterm labor. Call your practitioner immediately if you have more than four contractions in an hour or any other signs of preterm labor: an increase in vaginal discharge or a change in the type of discharge (if it becomes watery, mucus-like, or bloody 鈥?even if it's pink or just tinged with blood); abdominal pain or menstrual-like cramping; an increase in pressure in the pelvic area; or low back pain, especially if you didn't have it before. Source(s): This week, your baby measures about 16 inches long. He weighs a little over 3 pounds and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy. Hi, i had this recently and im 35 weeks. I was told by my doctor that it is position of the baby and nothing to worry about. If this is your first pregnancy, you baby may be dropping into position which can also cause the pain. If the pain is there constantly, i would go to the docs and get them to check you out anyway, just for piece of mind. |
