Can someone please who speaks German help me translate? |
I have an oral exam tomorrow and I need some help translating the following text. In WWII most of the city was destroyed and after that lots of buildings were taken down in order to make room for the wall. Right now there are construction sites everywhere. There is a huge contradiction between old and new buildings. Best example is the Ged盲chtnis kirche am Kurfurstendamm adjacent to the Neue Kirche At the Kurfurstendamm there was the largest shopping mall in Europe, called Kaufhaus des Westens, KaDeWe. It was seven stories high and everything was too expensive to buy but it was nice to take a look at it. I went to the Reichstag. For free you could enter the cupola on top of the building where you could get a good view of the city. We rented bikes. We rode towards the Olympia Stadium through the Tiergarten. For just two euro鈥檚 we could take a look inside. It鈥檚 a 80.000 seat stadium built by the nazi鈥檚 for the Olympics in 1936. It鈥檚 also where the 2006 World Cup final took place. for hayden... how can you tell it is basic german since you've made mistakes in those two german sentences you put in your answer just to show off?! ...I don't really feel like going on... Come on, the last bit is the easiest, if you do not know some words look them up at www.pons.de or www.leo.org Source(s): it's not a professional translation... german is my second language (english my third) Okay so my original answer was a little harsh so I am here to correct myself. My written German is not the best. Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut. I am still learning myself, as German is becoming my second language. Even with English being my first language I am learning new things everyday. Don't give up on this but maybe put forth a little more effort toward the assignment. I remember from all of my German classes that I have ever taken if I needed help especially with an assignment like this one the teacher's doors were always open to help and give advice before and after class. http://ca.search.yahoo.com/search?p=engl... English to German translation. I don't mind helping with small translations, but this is way out there. ~ Wie der oben schon sagte, lerne Dein Zeug und habe keine Angst einige Fehler zu machen. ;-) |
