Is there a good bicycle I can take apart easily?

I live about 2 miles from my office, but my apartment building is all stairs so I'd need a bike I can basically take into 2 parts so i can carry it up the stairs at my apartment and into work (hopefully keep in my cube). Is this realistic and any good reccomendations?

There are folding bikes, but I don't know that they would be worth the trouble for your purposes.

Its not that difficult to just sling your regular bike over your shoulder and carry it up and down stairs. In fact, its probably less clumsy than a 'folded' bike.

Space is another issue. You're right, a regular bike probably wouldn't fit in a cube. I've always locked my bike up outside when bike commuting. That may or may not be advisable or possible where you work.

A suggestion: If I worked only 2 miles away, I'd walk and not bother with the bike at all. By the time you're done folding, unfolding, or securing it, any time savings have evaporated.

If weight is the issue, get a carbon fiber road bike, and at under 17 lbs it is not that much weight to put over your shoulder. If you need something very compact, they do sell foldiing bikes, such as the bike Friday, but those bikes will not perform or ride anything like a real road bike. And they can be heavier.

As far as keeping a bike in your cubicle, thats going to be a tight fit. I would talk to your employer to find out if there are any storage closets you can use? I used to lock my bike in the bottom of a stairwell. You can also look into buying a bike locker that stays outside.

Buy the lightest possible bike you can afford. Make sure it has quick release hubs, and you are good to go.
