Please help, What movie is this????

I was watching some random station on cable the other day and i landed on this movie but I didn't end up seeing how it ended. Can you please help me figure out what movie it was.

In the part I came in on there was a man and his fiance watching some awards show and one actor gets an award for something and he thanks all these gay people including this man that was sitting there. The whole small town sees this and his parents are the first ones to come over and ask "do you have something to tell us?" He is freaking out because he is telling everyone he is not gay. Including his students at school. No one believes him. So all these reporters come and try to find out who he is and why him. But he doesn't know why that guy said he is gay. Then one of the reporters admits that he is gay also and its ok for him to come out, then he kisses him, to which he freaks out and rides his bicycle home. At home he listens to music and dances to it. And freaks out again about being gay.

Any ideas????
